Printed
Broadloom Carpet

Printed carpet is known to be one of the best choices for custom hospitality carpets in budget-conscious projects that require attractive, multi-coloured designs. Chromojet machinery is capable of producing intricate patterns with excellent precision, while incorporating up to 12 colours.

This type of machine-tufted carpet begins its life as clean white yarn, which is typically stored and used once a custom order has been placed. After the order is confirmed, the white carpet is set up on the Chromojet printing machine to apply the required design. The dye injection process then takes place using jets arranged in groups, similar to an office printer.

Pressure ensures colour and design accuracy, allowing the dye to penetrate the carpet pile without touching the fabric directly. Once the design is completed, the carpet is steamed, washed, and dried using the same advanced machinery. Although this process creates a beautiful finished design, the dye can only penetrate the fibres to a certain depth. The pile yarn usually receives around 45–65% dye absorption, which is why the undyed white yarn may still be visible close to the backing.

Over time, due to wear and tear, the carpet may flatten and gradually expose more of the undyed yarns. This is why printed carpet is considered most suitable for budget-conscious projects and areas without heavy foot traffic.

The Right Floor’s printed carpet is often specified for a variety of public spaces and, in some cases, hotel guest rooms. Depending on foot traffic and exposure to sunlight, it can be the perfect product to install. Based on the project scope and budget, we can also adjust the carpet density to provide maximum durability.
